Introduction

Medical recipes (P.Ross.Georg. V 52). The fragment (6 x 8 cm) is broken at the top and on the left side. The recto contains a single column of 7 lines with the text of two recipes, separated by a row of horizontal dashes: ll. 1-2 contain the very end of the first recipe, while ll. 3-13 entirely preserve a second remedy, against dull-white leprosy. Verso is blank. The handwriting is a quite refined, non-cursive commercial hand, dating back to the 2nd cent. AD.
