Title Announcing the Tax-Collector

Summary N��jid b. Muslim writes to ful��n b. ìUlayt, seemingly a lower official at the same level as ìAbd All��h that the deliverer of his letter is assigned to collect the land-tax and tax over the produce of the land cultivated in his district. N��jid asks the official to hand over the taxes to the letter bearer. Condition Medium brown papyrus. The original cutting lines have been preserved at the top and bottom sides, and partially on the left side of the papyrus. The top right and left and the bottom left corners have broken off. Since only opening formulae and blank papyrus were lost in the lacunae, the damage to the text is limited. Only one word is lost at the beginning and end of three lines due to the other lacunae. There are some further small holes in the papyrus that have not damaged the text.

Hands Written in black ink with a thin pen perpendicular to the fibers on Recto, parallel to the fibers on Verso. There are diacritical dots in one word.
