Inv. Id | P.Mich.inv. 1359 |
Support/Dimensions | 1 papyrus ; 4.4 x 4.9 cm |
Condition | Broken off at the bottom, right and left hand side. ;This fragment (4.4 x 4.9 cm) was under the same inv. no 1359 and is written on both sides. On the verso it preserves five parts of lines (1-2 letters) and reads as follows: line 1: ]k[; l. 2: ]hd[; l. 3 ]as[; l. 4: .' .[; l. 5 ].[; The letters eta and delta look like the same as the Demosthenes papyrus, but kappa is formed differently. Moreover, the lines drawn to form the letters arebroader. On the recto side there is a critical sign presumably at the left margin. Probably another literary papyrus? The papyrus has been put together with the Demosthenes papyrus (P.Mich. inv. 1359) and then photographed in the same image, but it has been given a new inv. no, P.Mich. inv. 1359a (NL) |
